Overview

The Requirement

The client required a highly intelligent, powerful access control system to control 617 doors across several different buildings at Charing Cross and Hammersmith Hospital.

The hospital environment needs to protect many vulnerable people and assets – so coordinating the security whilst making the most of existing asset investments (particularly when budgets are under closer-than-ever scrutiny) is a highly desirable outcome for all stakeholders.

The Solution

Used in conjunction with EXpert IP, TDSi’s EXgarde PRO software can control thousands of doors at multiple sites with an equal number of users.

The software, which can control a range of building management and control systems, from CCTV and intruder alarms to environmental systems, offers one portal that puts the user firmly in control. In addition, it allows for a wide range of user-defined control and reporting options.

EXgarde PRO allows control from multiple PCs or IP-connected devices, without the need to purchase additional applications and is designed to be straightforward to operate, which minimises installation/training time and overall costs.

The Solution

The Result

ADS Managing Director, John Coleman, commented, “This has been a major, high-profile project for us, which required a best-of-breed solution for the access control system element.

TDSi systems are uniquely equipped to integrate with other building services and security systems and are particularly well suited to projects where CCTV, fire alarms and access control need to work closely together to protect people and property.

In partnership with TDSi, we were able to offer Charing Cross and Hammersmith hospital a solution that met their needs and gave peace of mind that patients and staff are protected from emergencies and potential security breaches, at all times.”
