Growing and Enriching Our Multilingual Team

As we approach the end of 2022, we now have a clear view of the post-pandemic landscape and a good handle on what security buyers want and need. TDSi have had a great year with strong sales throughout the year and double-digit growth figures compared to 2021. The world of security has picked up the pace again and TDSi is pushing forward by delivering the products and services that protect and secure people and property.

Business growth inevitably means adding to our team and it is always a pleasant task to be recruiting fresh blood to the company. Despite the well-publicised challenges in finding the right talent, here at TDSi we are fortunate to have excellent connections within the industry and links to business groups and educational establishments, and are delighted to have recently welcomed two exciting new members of the team to support us in our accelerated growth and evolution.

Multilingual Technical Support

Technical Support is one of the key divisions at TDSi, so we are delighted to welcome Sebastien Botella to our expert team. As well as being a technical wizard, Sebastien also speaks fluent French as well as English, so he is perfectly placed to assist our partners and customers in not only France but also Francophone North and West Africa and the Middle East where of course French continues to be an important language.

This makes Sebastien invaluable as part of our technical training team and he will be an important part of our ongoing Security Technology Showcases (the most recent of which visited Dubai and Bahrain in September). He will also be joining TDSi’s International Business Development Director, Phil Tennent, at Intersec Dubai 2023 in January to assist with our outreach to French-speaking visitors, partners, and customers at the event.

Multilingual Sales Support

Along with Sebastien, TDSi has just extended our Inside Sales team with the addition of another French speaker, Sidonie Mfumu. Sidonie’s appointment ensures we can reach out directly to French-speaking partners and customers to deliver more effective sales support.

When it comes to specifying the right products or discussing the nuances of a specific project or requirement, having a fully trained and knowledgeable specialist who speaks the same language is invaluable. As a business, TDSi has long had a firm commitment to our French speaking customers, it’s a powerful international language and an essential one in many markets in which we operate.  We are of course also part of the French-owned VITAPROTECH Group, so having fluent French speakers on our team is a huge advantage!

More expansion to come

With our ongoing growth TDSi is committing further resources to expanding our team and our services. For instance, we are looking for another talented individual to join our Sales Support team and we will be taking on another Apprentice for our Technical Support team as well. We have had tremendous success with our Apprenticeship Scheme over the years, it has proven to be an excellent opportunity for our business just as much as for the young people that have trained with us.

Despite the challenges we have all faced over the last few years, there is a huge impetus to move forwards both in the security market and the wider world. With global and regional instability continuing to be an issue for many, security technology has never been more important, and we are proud to be playing our part in adding a bit of stability and reassurance to the world.
